Sales and Distribution manages global content sales across television, VOD and international DVD. There are approximately 50,000 hours currently in the BBC Worldwide catalog, accounting for nearly half of the UK’s total television exports. 

In the U.S., Sales and Distribution has a longstanding joint venture agreement with Discovery and strong relationships with a wide range of clients including WGBH Masterpiece Theater, Smithsonian, SOAPnet, Adult Swim, Logo and IFC. Through network partnerships, the team has brought many award winning co-productions to life including Little Dorrit, winner of seven Emmy® Awards in 2009, and the widely acclaimed, award-winning Planet Earth.
